Store Manager
Lead day-to-day operations of our new family-owned butcher and cellar — customer experience, team accountability, and product quality. Owners Jen and Dennis will be available as needed for guidance, decisions, and support.
- What you'll do: Open and close the store; maintain daily operational checklists. Supervise and support all staff (including cleaning personnel). Train new employees on procedures, product knowledge, and service standards. Oversee meat case presentation, product rotation, labeling, and quality control. Manage inventory counts, ordering, and vendor relationships with the owners. Handle customer concerns professionally. Operate the POS and ensure cash-drawer accuracy. Maintain compliance with health, food safety, and sanitation regulations. Communicate regularly with Jen & Dennis on performance, staffing, and needs. Assist with pricing, promotions, and merchandising. Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- What we're looking for: Minimum 2 years of retail, food service, or grocery management experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. Experience in a meat, deli, or specialty food environment is a plus. 18 or older.
- Compensation & schedule: Full-time — approximately 40 hours per week. Competitive salary, commensurate with experience (discussed during interview). Schedule includes weekdays and weekends; specific days determined at hire.
