Full-Time · Exempt · ~40 hrs/wk Reports to: Jen & Dennis (Owners)

Store Manager

Lead day-to-day operations of our new family-owned butcher and cellar — customer experience, team accountability, and product quality. Owners Jen and Dennis will be available as needed for guidance, decisions, and support.

  • What you'll do: Open and close the store; maintain daily operational checklists. Supervise and support all staff (including cleaning personnel). Train new employees on procedures, product knowledge, and service standards. Oversee meat case presentation, product rotation, labeling, and quality control. Manage inventory counts, ordering, and vendor relationships with the owners. Handle customer concerns professionally. Operate the POS and ensure cash-drawer accuracy. Maintain compliance with health, food safety, and sanitation regulations. Communicate regularly with Jen & Dennis on performance, staffing, and needs. Assist with pricing, promotions, and merchandising. Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
  • What we're looking for: Minimum 2 years of retail, food service, or grocery management experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. Experience in a meat, deli, or specialty food environment is a plus. 18 or older.
  • Compensation & schedule: Full-time — approximately 40 hours per week. Competitive salary, commensurate with experience (discussed during interview). Schedule includes weekdays and weekends; specific days determined at hire.

Part-Time · ~3–5 hrs/wk Reports to: Store Manager

Weekly Cleaning Specialist

One scheduled day a week to deep-clean our store and keep it guest-ready. Reliable, detail-oriented, and a great fit for students or retirees.

  • What you'll do: Deep-clean the entire store on a weekly basis — floors (including behind counters and coolers), meat counter, prep area, display cases, shelving, fixtures, restrooms, interior windows, and back-of-house. Empty and sanitize trash receptacles, and report any maintenance or supply needs to the Store Manager.
  • What we're looking for: Previous commercial or retail cleaning experience preferred; strong attention to detail; ability to work efficiently and independently; physically able to bend, kneel, lift up to 30 lbs, and stand for extended periods; reliable and punctual — must honor the weekly scheduled day; 18 or older.
  • Compensation & schedule: Once per week on a scheduled day (3–5 hours per session). Hourly or flat-rate, discussed during interview. All cleaning supplies provided.
